University of the Western Cape (UWC) Postgraduate Studies Requirement

Admission decisions are primarily based on a comprehensive assessment of whether applicants have the academic competencies and experience required to succeed on the progrgramme, rather than formal educational background. Formal admission requirements to succeed on the programme are flexible as we recognise the value of learning gained through appropriate work experience. To maintain academic standards to the Master’s degree (MCom), the BCom (Honours) degree and the Advanced Diploma in Management (ADM), admission is selective and competitive. Application decisions are based on a careful assessment of  academic background, work, leadership, and community experience, performance in the Admissions Evaluation, numeracy skills, and referee reports. Every applicant who is not a current student in the School must write an Admissions Evaluation before the application will be considered.
